Wild Bird Wednesday: Red-browed Finch

On our recent day trip to O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, I came across a new bird, the Red-browed Finch. There were quite a number of these little birds, foraging on the ground for seeds after the bird feeding session.

Skywatch Friday: Wellington Point

Wellington Point has to be one of my favourite places for sunset. It was an incredibly windy afternoon which provided the inspiration for some new images. I knew the kite surfers & the windsurfers would be out in force. I wasn't disappointed...

And as the sun set further, the sky took on a red glow due to bushfires on Bribie Island - an island half way between Brisbane & the Sunshine Coast.

Friday's Fences: A Fence & Gate with a View

Out on a drive in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, I saw this fence & gate, which reminded me of the Texan gates posted by the lovely Theresa from Run A Round Ranch.
So this is dedicated to you, Theresa...

Barn Charm: Still standing

While driving out west last week for some sunset shots on Wivenhoe Dam, we came across this old barn/shed.

And on the same, overgrown property...
