Texture Thursday: Beach
After a few days stay at the RACV Club in Melbourne city, taking in some culture (the Johnson Collection, the opera Don Giovanni and a couple of lovely restaurant dinners with family) we drove back down to the Mornington Peninsula. We took the "scenic route" home along the beach road and stopped numerous times to photograph some beaches & piers.

I love these! Not sure which I like best. Maybe the pier shot with water and foam around the footings. Although the sand is an excellent texture shot :) I must say, I miss the Peninsula. So much of my life was spent there, especially at Rosebud of course.
ReplyDeletelovely shots! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to take the scenic route once and awhile? Love these!!
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of the Texture Thursday meme, I must consider joining sometime. These photos all have great texture, difficult to choose a favourite but probably the second one.
ReplyDeleteThanks also Liz for your recent lovely comments on my photography blog and for becoming a follower much appreciated.
Lovely photos! I love the water swirling around the poles.

ReplyDeleteWould love to be there!
Excellent shots with lots of texture to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I just wanna lay a picnic blanket in that field or on the sand... :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting textures. I like the grass heads and the sea around the base of the piers. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat set! The first one is my favorite
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit difficult to choose a favourite here as I'm liking them all for different reasons - particularly the posts on the wharf.
ReplyDeleteI've come over from Deb at Deb Duty. I really like your pictures especially the first one and 2nd ones.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do love late autumn and winter in Canada, I am also enjoying your photos of summer. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. My favourites are the sand - so subtle and beautiful - and the piers in the water. Love the contrast there.
ReplyDeleteOh what fabulous images! Makes me miss home!
ReplyDeleteOoh...I was trying to pick a favourite, but can't - they are all lovely!
