"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

Macro Monday: Grass
My grasses from the farm trip attracted so many comments last week, so I thought I would post some more...
Hi there - grass is a much overlooked plant. It can be wonderful with its dull shades and simple colours.
A good way to take low down shots of buildings is to use the self-timer. Put the camera on its back, lens pointing up - press the shutter and walk away. It’s a great way to take pictures inside as well. I got some good shots many, many years ago of the roof of York Minster in the UK like this.
I love the second picture!! Last month I photographed the same grass in the Dominican Republic. At home I identified the grass as Bermuda Grass or Bahama Grass, Devil's Grass, Couch Grass, Wire Grass, Indian Doab Genus: Cynodon Species: dactylon - Cheers from Canada, Gisela
I adore everything about that second photo...the entire composition is brilliant. Love the texture of the barbed wire amidst the beautiful grasses.
