Rural Journey: Cedar Grove, QLD

A lovely drive out to the Beaudesert area with Michael after my 2 doctors appointments yesterday resulted in me coming home with just over 100 images of beautiful rural scenery and a lovely sunset with the beautiful backdrop of the "Scenic Rim" mountain range.

Only a few hundred metres further down this country road, was an even better view for the sunset...

And behind me the sky was a different kind of beautiful...

Before I started blogging, when I'd think of Australia I'd think desert land, very dry, etc... but I've definitely learned different, esp thru your blog! Thanks so much & keep it up!!! =)

  14. I am so glad I don't have to pic a favorite...I surely love several of these. Especially the one of the tree and the one looking down the road. But then I like the one of the with the 2 cows...more up close and personal than the other but not really that close if you know what I mean.

  16. Great pictures, we can not imagine here in Belgium that we have to drive so far to go to the doctor.

  17. It was a great impromptu turn off the highway. We didn't even get to where we had planned. What views! And clearly so much more to explore. Liz you did a fantastic job with these photos.

Looking forward to our next drive of discovery together. I love our photography trips.

    Signed, your loving driver ;)

  19. Oh, my! I couldn't begin to select a favorite from this photo shoot, BUT, if you twisted my arm, might say the first one. Love the way you kept the interest strong in the foreground. Still, I also thought the more long views give an appreciation for your country's amazing landscapes that we may never have a chance to see for ourselves. And well done on chasing the sunset--how fast it changes.

  24. Hi there - very nice set of pictures. I like the way you have used the fence lines and power wires to pull the viewer through the picture.

  25. I learned to always look behind me during a sunset too! Some of my best shots were taken from that perspective.

  27. Wow! Such drama caught in all of these photos. Hope you had a great weekend. I was looking forward to getting out and taking some shots for the first time since my surgery, but that hasn't happened so far because of a car that decided to break down!

  30. Wow! You have come such a long way in just these last few months. Sure, a proper DSLR camera helps but I can see a huge improvement in the quality of your landscap photos. The way you compose each photo really brings out the atmosphere through the photo! Perfect; keep going!
