"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

Barn Charm: TLC required
Driving in rural Brisbane, a couple of months ago, I noticed this old barn on a property. It's sadly in need of some TLC, but I doubt it will get it.
Beautiful captures and the light is gorgeous. Our farmers are struggling right now too, in the midwest of the U.S they desperately need rain, but I'm afraid the crops are already all ruined.
Like many old Australian barns, one strong windy storm and it will be blown over. So hard to restore old buildings like this one, yet they are still rich in history.
Farmer are struggling everywhere, i fear. I very much like the light in these beautiful photos!

Love this old barn with the vines growing up it. The rotting wood in the last photo looks almost like icicles hanging from the rusty roof.
ReplyDeleteyour barn photos always look so much like texas!
ReplyDeleteThat one may be beyond TLC, but I like the old barns! I hate to see them deteriorating, but they have lots of character. Great photos, Liz!
ReplyDeleteLiz, welcome warmly.

ReplyDeleteYou are so clever with your finds. And your captures.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures. Here is to better times!
ReplyDeleteNice one! I just don't get it why people let barns just fall to pieces.
