Photo Bloggiversary

I'm a little late posting this as I was bed ridden with the flu & a chest infection last week. I'm still not 100%, but I am slowly improving. I have really missed picking up my camera for over a week. For those of you who have gotten to know me via my blog, you will know that not picking up my camera is a huge thing. It's been my "happy place" for the last year.

I started blogging on July 4, 2011 with the intention of blogging/rambling about life. My first post, which explains the meaning behind my blog name, can be found here.

After 4 1/2 weeks, I decided to totally change my blog focus and blog about the beauty of nature, places and life captured through my lens and frozen in time. Sometimes I include the occasional personal post, but never without a photograph.

On July 28, 2011 my photography obsession began. A few weeks later I traded my small point and shoot camera for a Canon 1100D with 2 kit lenses, 18-55mm & 55-250mm. I soon discovered a passion for bird, landscape & macro photography.  Thank you to those who have been sharing my photographic journey with me (and some of my journey in life). Your comments, encouragement and inspiration mean the world to me.
