Friday's Fences and a Barn in the Scenic Rim

I really love finding gems like this while out on our drives through the mountains...

The poor old barn looks like it's seen better days! I wonder if it would still be standing if not for the old steel shed it's leaning on...

  9. I understand why Goose's mum sighed, I did too when I saw that first image. Love how I can see every barb in that wire and still see the old barn clearly.

  13. I love old places like that! They history is so interesting to me... I always wonder what happened that they abandoned them? Where'd the people go? Why'd they have to leave? Where are they now? Very cool find =)

  22. Barbed wire makes a good framing material! I just want to go over and press my shoulder against this old beauty to see if she might straighten up a bit.

  25. I have the amusing image in my head of you requesting you husband to stop by saying 'there's another barn honey!' and him screeching the car to a halt. I'm only joking though , I know he's fully supportive of your photography. And the fact is you DO find some great barn pictures that always have character like this one.

  26. Nice! Barns are always so attractive that have the capability to capture anyone’s attention. =) These shots are perfect, and I think every shot gave justice to the beauty and calmness of the place. The greenery of the environment is striking, and the barn itself is simple yet refined.
