Incoming Tide at Beachmere, QLD

The small town of Beachmere, is located in the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland, Australia. It is located north of Brisbane and has a population of 3,888.

After spending the afternoon bird watching in the area, we decided to stay for sunset. We had been warned not to stay on the sand flats for too long as the incoming tide rises incredibly fast... they weren't wrong!!

The water rose to knee height in a matter of 10-15 minutes!

Never-the-less, the sunset was worth getting our feet wet for!

  8. Glad you listened and took precautions. Seeing the tide low and then rise was an interesting series of photographs. There images were well done besides. Bravo!

  14. Beautiful! It is interesting to see the trees in the salt water! We are planning to come to Australia in the next year while our son is working at University of Queensland-he studies the effect of waves on the shoreline!
