I've been meaning to link these up for weeks but life got in the way a bit (death, funeral, the beginning of the many, many birthdays in our incredibly large family...) and I haven't been linking up as much as I used to.
We came across these drive about 6 weeks ago. I'm actually wondering if the structure on the right is perhaps a farmer's workshed??
While I was taking close ups, I noticed this colourful stripe above the roof.
It was difficult to get a good look at the back of the building as it was so overgrown.

really like this whole set! love the rusty roofs, and the rainbow stripe was really cool, but my favorite shot is #6. the close-up of the door, fenceline and heavy grasses! sweet!
ReplyDeleteYou always have fantastic photos, Liz! And you always seem to have great clouds for backdrops, too! This is a great old place. I like the peeling paint. And then to get the rainbow...well, I think you have some kind of photography magic!

Not only is this post coming from Australia, which is awesome in itself, but there's also a barn w/ a rainbow! Now, it's pretty hard to beat that! Beautiful photos, to be sure!

Maybe the rainbow was from someone above who was saying thank you in taking interest in a place where he /she used to live and work.
