Another week down and now over half way!! Thanks for all your kind words on my last Project 366 Rewind post. I am improving slowly, lots of physiotheraphy on my neck, spine & ribs (more damage than I thought).
Last week we were able to do a couple of day trips - one to Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, and another up to North Lakes to visit two lakes with birds. Both trips were wonderfully peaceful and therapeutic!!
Day 183 (July 1) - Moon rise & power lines
Day 184 (July 2) - Superb Fairy Wren (female or juvenile). The brightly coloured male is even harder to capture but I'm working on it...
Day 185 (July 3) - Make a wish...
Day 186 (July 4) - We went on a day trip down to Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. I came home with around 450 RAW images and managed to totally fill my memory card (for the first time) so I wasn't able to capture many sunset shots. This surfing shot was a first for me. I was pretty happy with the result.
Day 187 (July 5) - We drove up to North Lakes to Lake Eden to see the newest family of Black Swans. I have numerous shots of them close up, but I thought this was so sweet.
Day 188 (July 6) - Friday's Fences. I have a thing for fences!!
Day 189 (July 7) - Grass & Pied Cormorant reflections on another lake

ReplyDeleteThat's a nice surfing picture. Difficult sports pictures.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Great photos, Liz. You did a great job of capturing the surfer and those black swans are gorgeous.
ReplyDeletei am loving that last shot! i have a thing for fences, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe wren on the fence is my favourite shot!
ReplyDeleteBattered Gate
Liz glad you were able to get to visit away from home locations. Play days like that are very special treasures and I know that you get a lot out of them. Your wren is beautiful, but also I love the swan and sygnets in tow....(watch for the daddy though!)
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots!!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you are improving Liz, even if it's slow. Love shots 4,5 and 6.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful - I love them all. Great catch of the surfer, beautiful wren, lovely shot of the swan and cygnets.
ReplyDeletei love love love the duckies... those lil babies are adorable & mama is gorgeous! =)
ReplyDeleteThe surfer and the swan - not things I expect to find together but totally delightful. I think it is the contrast in movement that brought the extra pleasure.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, especially a cute bird, black swan and surfer!
ReplyDeletewow your photography is stunning, the light in these shots is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove your "rewinding" idea--may have to borrow it some time since I'm new to photography. Like several other commenters, the black swan family just warmed my heart.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your continued recovery.
Well done on the surfing shot and you had done great bird finds - although those baby swans pretty much take the cake. I really hope you have a better week healthwise , you're amazing to be able to keep going in a positive frame of mind especially when the last couple of weeks has been so tough.
ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are fantastic.

Fantastic collection. I love the reflections.
ReplyDeleteLove the bird photos....I've only seen black swans in zoos. I can't imagine seeing them in person...in real time!!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know that I added a linky to my newest bird photos today. If you'd care to stop by and leave a link. And perhaps if you know of anyone who loves birding--let them know of the new birding meme I set up for a weekly run---The Bird D'Pot. Stop by if you can. And have a glorious week.
I'd Rather B Birdin'
Oh how I love that surfer!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe black swan's feathers were stunning! They make me want to swim around with her. That was STUNNING, and of course, BEAUTIFUL!
