Wild Bird Wednesday: Eastern Reef Egret

This was my third "lifer" from our day trip down to Burleigh Heads in July. The Eastern Reef  Egret has two phases; the grey phase & the white phase.

This particular bird looks a little the worst for wear...





I know it's a little blurry but I had to post the "catch of the day"...





Definitely looking quite shabby. But don't you just love the hair do in this last shot!!

    But they are still good to look at even with some feathers out of place.
