South East QLD Coastal Journey: Kirra Beach

My previous post was about the southern most beaches, Snapper Rocks Beach and Rainbow Bay. The next beach north is Greenmount Beach (south Coolangatta) and Coolangatta Beach (no images, sadly, so I will bypass there for now).

The next beach around from Coolangatta is Kirra Beach. Kirra Beach is a long, wide stretch of beach, which includes North Kirra Beach.


Looking north...

That's Gold Coast city in the distance.

Looking south; beautiful reflections and the iconic Kirra Hut.

As the sun begins to set on another gorgeous Summer day, the low tide reflections are ever changing


And so are the colours in the sky

    My goodness, hasn't the skyline behind Kirra Hut changed? The beach, though, is still as lovely as ever. That's where I first body surfed, I can still remember the elction! Thanks for the memories.

    It's lovely to see wide open beaches more like those that I'm used to than the beaches I've just been visiting in Sydney.

    A beautiful visit to Kirra! Kirra was often our beach destination on our annual day beach visit as a child.
