"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
~ Elliot Erwitt
very cool looking bird! love his feathering.
aren't they lovely? I love their warbling ...
A great series of photos. You have caught the action perfectly.
I've never seen them listen and hunt for their food. Really neat to see!
Oh you made me smile and I LOVE your photos Liz. B
Very nice! You have a special gift for catching wildlife Liz! Very unique looking bird. How are things going?
Not really my favourite bird to be honest but listening to their warbling calls can be very haunting.
Nice shots - I love these birds when they still have that grey flecking in the plumage. And what a voice!Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.Stewart M - Melbourne.PS: read the post before as well - hope its a small number of rising and settings. SM
Such lovely images of a striking, stunning Magpie species~
Hi Liz! Sorry I haven't been in contact lately but things have been crazy to say the least. Got a call last week saying that I was going in for surgery yesterday. The surgery was scheduled for 2hrs but it lasted for 5hrs. The pulled my battery from my back and put the new one just under my left clavicle. What I wasn't bargaining for was the fluid that they found in around the battery. They are concerned about it and scraped around the area to clean it all up, as well as sent cultures off. I'm to see the surgeon in two days to see if surgery is needed again. It was clearly infected but the question is has it gone into my spine. My pain is not good but I know you understand where I'm coming from because like me you live this every day, that's why I feel I can tell you this. Anyway I'll keep you posted!
What a handsome fella he is, Liz, and your photographs of him are wonderful.I hope you're having a good Monday!
A very nice photo series .. great job ...Best regards, Karin
