Mount Tamborine skies

We have some spectacular sunsets up in South-east Queensland.

A few weeks ago, we drove up to Mount Tamborine to photograph some waterfalls and planned to photograph sunset from the hang glider lookout, looking west across the valley below towards the Great Dividing Range. There are numerous lakes in the valley that reflect the colours of sunset.

I wasn't sure if the sky was going to pop with those heavy clouds but then this happened...

Magnificent sunset photos! The contrast of the sky against the vivid green below, along with the gorgeous reflective lakes sure produce something amazing. What a delight it must have been to witness such a scene.

Strange how clouds often make for the best sunsets - the weekends are getting away from us - too busy!

I just think those clouds and the sun were showing off for you! And you of course have succeeded in their challenge. Love the differences between the 1st and 2nd shot, and the feeling of strength in the the last two. A friend went up to qld in the holidays and was so impressed with it. Renee
