There is a lovely grassed & treed area in our new townhouse complex. It is a wonderful playground for birds - particularly Honeyeaters & Rainbow Lorikeets. The Rainbow Lorikeets particularly love this tree. I am not sure what it is though...

Project 366 Rewind {Week 12}
We were still moving, cleaning the old house and unpacking at the new townhouse this week. It's been very busy, physically & emotionally exhausting and I have pushed my body beyond what it is capable of doing (causing a great deal of pain).
We haven't been able to get our internet up and running, due to problems in the lines at the exchange, so we were forced to purchase a USB mobile broadband device mainly for the girls, and Michael & I have used our iPhones as "Personal Hotspot" modems for necessities (which is why I have hardly blogged all week).
Spring to Life was the theme for this week and although it's Autumn in Australia, I think these images fit the theme quite well.
Here is what I managed to capture in between the craziness... not a lot of variety but the best I could do.
Day 78 - My first edit using layered textures in PS Elements 10. I was quite happy with the result.
Day 79 - The Rainbow Lorikeets love the white Grevillea in my backyard. I never tire of photographing these cheeky birds & their antics.
Day 80 - A little more texture fun in PS Elements 10 (I think I prefer the previous edit better though)
Day 81 - The #marchphotoaday Challenge for 21st March was "Delicious".
Soy Chai Latte, Triple Chocolate Slice & Turkish Delight - afternoon treats with Michael & Bec after an appointment in the city.
Day 82 - Blue-faced Honeyeater in the trees in our new townhouse complex (my front yard)
Day 83 - More Rainbow Lorikeets in my front yard feasting on this colourful tree.
Day 84 - Feeding the ducks at Minnippi Parklands during an afternoon walk.

Bold As...
While out on an afternoon walk & feeding the ducks at Minnippi Parklands, this bold little Noisy Miner hopped along the rail beside me...

Weekend Flowers: B&W textured
This week I decided to venture into the world of texture. I watched Kim Klassen's "Textures in Ten" tutorial.
Here's the result of my first ever layered texture edit. I used a layer of Kim's Happy Heart and another of Music Lovin'.
What do you think?

Texture Thursday: Natural
I LOVE natural texture... even in the simplest and most ordinary things.
I feel honoured to have come off a blogging break (due to moving house) and to discover I had been selected as a winner for Texture Thursday a few weeks back with my seagull in flight.
Thank you Audrey for hosting this linky.

Project 366 Rewind {Week 10 & 11}
I'M BACK!!
I've been on a forced blogging break due to moving house, so I am posting 2 weeks worth of Project 366 Rewind... I hope that's OK Sarah? Due to the craziness of moving an average 4 bedroom home into a 3 bedroom townhouse, I haven't had much time to pick up my camera. I almost managed to keep up with "March Photo A Day" on Instagram, hosted by a fellow Aussie "Fatmumslim". Today is the first day I have had the change to download the images quickly snapped on my camera in between packing boxes, moving house and cleaning the one we vacated. So here are my 2 weeks worth...
Day 64 - More rain, floods... definitely over this rain!
Day 65 - What's on your bedside? Mine always has a pile of books. I have about 8 books on the go -nothing like a bit of variety!
Day 66 - Even a ordinary looking brown butterfly is beautiful. I love the colour contrasts.
Day 67 - There's something so beautiful about trees against a blue sky.
Day 68 - Sunsets & reflections... sigh
Day 69 - Discovered this Orange Potter Wasp building it's "mud pot" on the window ledge outside my bathroom
Day 70 - Brisbane Wheel on a sunny Saturday
Day 71 - Powerlines in pink
Day 72 - Moving house means packing your life into boxes
Day 73 - Cloud dance at sunset
Day 75 - Overgrown
Day 76 - Fallen Frangipani
Day 77 - Rainow Lorikeet in our new backyard :)

Weekend Flowers: Raindrops on Roses
I am honoured to have been awarded two first places from last weeks link ups. My original post can be found HERE. The third image won 1st place in Weekend Flowers and the last image won 1st place in Shoot.Edit.Submit.
In Brisbane, Australia, we had even MORE rain earlier in the week...
By Thursday, we had blue skies with fluffy clouds. Happy Weekend to you all :)

Fabulous Skies & Reflections
A quick visit to a rural area after my regular specialist appointment for some sunset & reflections.
It just kept getting better...
I managed to capture the full moon rising in the pink sky
