Wild Bird Wednesday: Willy Wagtail

Willy Wagtails are often difficult to capture as they move about so quickly but this particular day, I got lucky.

Hmmm... not sure he's impressed ;)

I love the facial expression... "Come on lady! Enough already!!"

"Maybe she will go if I start preening a little?"

"Nope!! That didn't work!"

"Forget it! I'm not turning around. You have your shots!!"

how beautiful - and I love the texture of this little fluffy bird! And I followed the link over to the bird link up - I spent a good hour getting lost in those birding shots - Wow - what a find!! I could look at bird photos all day long!! :)

Początkowo pliszka była Tobą zainteresowana, a później zajęła się sobą. Śliczne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam.
Wagtail was initially interested in you, and then took up another. Beautiful pictures. Yours.

I love the name of the bird and you captured him so well. He seem to tolerate your camera peeping in on his preening.

Lovely crisp and clear shots. I don't think I've ever seen a Wagtail's expressions before - love it that he looks grumpy, it's just so not what I'd expect, I always think of them as such happy little birds.

Hi there - thats a nice set of pictures. These birds remind me of clockwork toys - with the tails going from side to side.

Which make me think they should be called "swish-tails" rather than way tails!

Thanks for linking to WBW - Stewart M - Melbourne

A really nice series of the little Willie. They are great characters to watch and photo - if you can get one to sit still long enough - and you did!
