Wild Bird Wednesday: Noisy Friar Bird

This Noisy Friar Bird visitis our backyard Grevillea several times a day. It has proven to be very elusive, hiding amongst the branches and sometimes flying away while I am getting my camera ready or just as I slide open the back door.

So one day, I had my camera ready, settings right, and I waited in the doorway...

Ha!! Got you!! Of course, I'll keep trying for more, without the leaves across it's beak...

Having to shot around branches can be really difficult - apart from the advantage of being able to use the "poor mans zoom" on digital - the ability to take lots of images in cases like this is a huge plus! That last images shows it can pay off.

Thanks for linking to WBW.
