Barn Charm & more from the farm.

As some of you know from my previous posts this week, we took a drive to a relative's farm in Peak Crossing, a small rural township situated on the Purga Creek at the base of Flinders Peak Mountain... and an hours drive from Brisbane.  There was so much to photograph and I enjoyed totally different subjects from the norm.

Here are a few of my favourites from the day...
Plenty of Aussie Barn Charm on the way.

Gorgeous mountain backdrop...

(I will save some more for the next few weeks though)

One the way we stopped at an old petrol station which is apparently a popular subject for photographers. The cloud formations on this overcast day were a great backdrop.

We were greeted by stunning views - part of the Scenic Rim. Beautiful, even on an overcast day.

A glimpse of what was in store as we drove down Ross & Nette's driveway...

Greeted by some of the family...

Ross is a Western Horse Trainer of extremely high regard in Australia and this is the purpose of his farm.

This is Dolly, foal of Shania... just for a little bit of Country & Western.

It wasn't hard to enjoy the continuous mountain views from theit back yard... I could never tire of waking up to this every day...

Same photo as a panorama...

A wonderful day of food, laughs, catch ups, peaceful, breathtaking - a bit of everything really.

the barn/shed photo is great Liz and it's fun isn't it to take photos different to the usual. Lovely mountain scenes too. You saved the best to near the end it seems; what a beautiful foal is Dolly!

Love the patchwork quilt effect of your Aussie barns. We're really not all that different from each other!

I sure do appreciate the varied views of Australia from the bloggers "down under". I feel like I'm seeing the real Australia and what a lovely land it is.

All I can say is, "Wow". You have done such a great job of presenting this post. It was a great day out for us, and the company and sights were wonderful. But Liz, you have excelled yourself in this presentation. The comments above are a testimony to that:)

Wow, a lovely collection, wonderful views...I love the foal, starting to loose his baby coat and showing his true colors.
