"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
~ Elliot Erwitt
Wow. As in 'wow' on many different levels. Your capture - so powerfu and plenty beautiful. How wonderful it would be to see this enlarged. The words? - even more so. I teach student with special needs, some of who will manage just fine and lead very normal lives when they enter life after school. I often try and hopefully get the message across to these parents that their kids infact have a headstart as opposed to the kids who (and I know it's a good thing too, especially with kids who put in alot of effort) just always gets the A's and achieve the top marks - they've never known failure, but the kids I teach do. It's so lovely to see these kids shine finally as they often do.
Liz, That is just wonderful! The photo is just brilliant! from reading your blog I think I understand a little of where this has come from...I've never heard this quote before but I will remember it now forever. Thankyou!
i know you poured so much emotion into this one...
it made me think of my sister. she endured rheumatic fever as a child, then 2 subsequent open-heart surgeries as an adult because of it. died suddenly 11 yrs ago of congestive heart failure with a breath of cold winter's air. but lived every day, shared every moment, dreamed for every instant she could have until the end...
Lovely. The photo along with it gave me goosebumps. If you'd like to share this quote or any other I would love for you to sign my quotes guestbook with one http://www.kenyagjohnson.com/quotes/
I love that bird in flight! Here in Malaysia, itz bird watching season, as the migratory birds have started their homeward journey...am hoping to catch them by this Friday!
