Brisbane Festival: Riverfire

Following on from last week's Skywatch Friday post...

The Brisbane Festival runs for 3 weeks during the month of September. The final night goes out with a BANG, literally! There is a fireworks display around the entire S-bend of the river with 7 vantage points. We decided that we wanted the view looking towards the iconic Story Bridge due to the excellent display of fireworks coming off the bridge.

I took over 80 shots during the half hour show. This was my first attempt at shooting fireworks & I was more than happy with these.. Here are some of my favourites...

I'm not sure about you, but I LOVE the second shot best.

Brilliant shots, Liz. I've never once seen the actual show myself. I always seem to be in Brissie at just the wrong time, so it's great to see your photos.

I'm blown away by the technicality of those photos. I shall have to work on that subject before I ever take another firework photo.

You really have set the bar here with these photos Liz. And I refuse to ( or in other words, can't !) choose a favourite. Amazing skill and spectacular results.
