"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
~ Elliot Erwitt
Very good, Liz. They are beautiful plants, and we see plenty of them around. A bit of a shame we don't have the birds they're named after to photograph!!
I've never seen it like this -- awesome! Thank you so much for sharing.
We have many of these back in the Philippines, and they have become common sights to us. But I've never noticed at all the seeds when they're dry. They're beautiful! This is new to me too. Thanks for sharing.
oh, wow! very cool! and furry!
Beautiful flowers and photo.Marit ,Norway.
Your photography is beautiful Liz!
I love those flowers! And not hurrying is a great tip indeed when it comes to photography! Thanks for sharing!
A very strange plant/flower, it looks amazing on the second picture.Greetings,Filip
I learnt something new too.Love the look of the seeds.
Hello! Nice photos of flowers with much colors. Have a nice day !
Nice photos of the Bird of Paradise flower and seeds. Although I have them in my garden I have never noticed the seeds. There are always birds pecking at the flowers so maybe they have taken the seeds before I can see them. Do you have the other variety (Strelitzia Nicolai)- it's a much larger plant and the flowers are blue and white.
I've taken photos of these flowers but never gave a thought about the seeds. Looks spectacular!
I've learned something too - that's BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for taking us on the road less travelled !
