Project 366 Rewind {Week 2}

Week 2 of Project 366 Rewind. It's not hard to photograph some thing everyday but it takes some thought to find different subjects and new inspiration so I don't get stuck in my comfort zone.
The theme this week is chilly. In Australia we use the word "chill" when we mean relax. Photography is one of my "Chill times". I know it's stretching things but I did have a chilly week as far as my photography goes. Please excuse my lack of creativity with the theme!!

Day 8: A trip out to Wellington Point, one of my favourite spots for photography (particularly sunsets). It's a popular day trip destination all year round but the Summer months bring out all the extreme water sport fanatics and this makes for even more interesting photography.

Day 9: I have a large & beautiful collection of shells which are on display in a large glass container... these are a just few of them. I love the reflection on the antique timber sideboard.

Day 10: My 19 year old, Bec, loves doing nice things for others. Every morning over the holidays, she makes me breakfast - gluten free cornflakes with fruits in season (presented differently each day) & a hot cup of green tea with mint.
In her own words, "Love blessing mum daily; especially making her breakfast in the morning as I know she doesn't sleep well."

Day 11: Living only 20 minutes from Moreton Bay, it's nice to drive out to enjoy the water - so peaceful.

Day 12: I call this "Beauty captured". My partner in photography, my beautiful 19 year old Bec (RAD Photography).

Day 13: We have a resident family of Butcherbirds in our backyard. This young one is rather bold... and very cute. More on these for World Bird Wednesday.

Day 14: My violin - I had lessons & did exams for 7 1/2 years, and played until the end of my first year of University. I haven't played it for about 26 years but I plan to pick it up this year. It is quite old (made in 1721) and was passed on to me by my father when I started learning violin at age 10. My husband (once a professional Cellist himself) paid for some serious repairs last year so I could play it again. It has the most beautiful tone.

I'm glad I found your violin. Those strings look familiar - are the Evah Pirazzi strings?
I played for 10 years growing up - it was a huge part of my youth - I played in school and regional orchestras, had fabulous experiences with it. I also played my first year in college, then stopped.
I picked it back up in 2008, after 23 years. I take lessons and it has been a great reawakening. I don't play in any groups (no time), but maybe in the future....
