Fabulous Friday & Skywatch Friday

Today was a day of pampering. First up, a trip to the hairdressers which is always enjoyable. I probably have one of the best hairdressers around - a colour, trim & blow-dry accompanied by a cappucino or two, flavoured green tea & loads of laughs which was guaranteed to lift the spirits of my daughter & step-daughter who have both had a week of let-downs.

We arrived home and noticed the sun shining brightly, a quick change into our walking gear, armed with cameras. We turned the corner out of our street, to notice the Sulphur-crested Cockatoos in the vacant block of land (we have been trying to capture these birds for weeks). What a treat!

And along the walking trail...

To the park at the other end...

This afternoon's skies would not have been considered anything special.... unless you knew how overcast it has been most of the week!

Great shots of the cockatoos. We've been seeing them fly overhead but I haven't been able to catch any photos of them. Sounds like you had a wonderful day.
