Macro Flowers Saturday: Rural Charm

Today we took a drive in a rural area of Brisbane in the hope to find some country inspiration. More on that later, but I also found some very different flowers to macro.

I have no idea what this flower is, but I love the furry buds:


I took this Scottish Thistle (the national emblem of Scotland) for my husband - he has Scottish heritage. It is rather beautiful.
