"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
~ Elliot Erwitt
Very good shots Liz....thanks for sharing.greetings, Joop
Awesome pictures, Liz! And all these taken so clearly without an extra big lens ... it was great that you were able to get so close to the tern :)
Beautiful shots! Congratulations on the sighting.

Great photos again. Thanks for your comments. I would also appreciate a dinner and talk together. Who knows, maybe we will ever have an opportunity. Until now, I have met two people from my blogrol and even had dinner with ine. But they live a lot closer :-)Greetings,Filip
What a fantastic bird and some really great shots.
Great photos of the Crested Terns. They are interesting birds to watch - especially when they return with juveniles and wow are they noisy then!

Oh my, fantastic captures Liz! I love their little crests and that scenery is just gorgeous!
This is a wonderful series, Liz.I especially love the third one, with that sweet little foot raised.
Liz, these are all so marvellously clear. Your fourth and last capture are my favourite. I'm hoping you'll be slightly proud that I just took my first ever photo of a kookaburra - it was high up in the front yard tree and I suspect when I download it it will look like a brown speck but at least I managed to shoot one!
Such a great series of shots Liz! Your shots of birds are always so amazing. Sorry I haven't had a chance to stop by your site more lately things have been rather crazy as of late.
Liz, Your photos of the birds are lovely.
Great captures of the bird
very cute and plucky looking bird. :)
Hi there - I always like photographing Crested Terns - I think they are one of our most cooperative species! Which new species did you get?I thought I’d let you know that I stepped into the void caused by Springmans decision to close down World Bird Wednesday by setting up Wild Bird Wednesday (!) on my photoblog at Paying Ready Attention – Photo Gallery.Feel free to visit and link.Stewart M - Australia
