Project 366 Rewind: Week 32

Late again...
The prompt for week 32 was Aqua/Wet... I think this is probably the first time I have embraced the prompt. All but two of my shots this week have been taken around different lakes or wetlands in Brisbane, and with one of my favourite photography subjects... Birds. In this case, mostly water birds :)

Day 218 (August 5) - Pied Cormorant basking in the sun.

Day 219 (August 6) - Black-fronted Dotterel reflection at Berrinba Wetlands. This bird was a "lifer" for me.

Day 220 (August 7) - I think this is a native of some kind growing around one of the lakes in Brisbane. I love the light & bokeh of Golden Hour!!

Day 221 (August 8) - Black Swan Cygnet at Lake Eden. They have grown so much since I photographed them 4 weeks ago!!

Day 222 (August 9) - Kangaroos with their Joey (baby kangaroo) in the vacant block at Westfield Shopping Centre, North Lakes. They come here every afternoon.

Day 223 (August 10) - Superb Fairy Wren (juvenile) in a palm tree in the driveway. I heard it's call, quickly changed my camera lens, and went outside and waited...

Day 224 (August 11) - Australian Pelican taking flight down at Wynnum foreshore. This is one of my favourite places for peace & quiet... and bird watching.

You really have the most amazing sights around you & the way you capture them- oh so AWESOME! I have always wanted to take a trip down under- one of my best friends in school was from there & she sure made me want to go. Someday we will get there.

A great series of photos. I look forward to seeing more of the Black Swan Cygnets. It will be great if you can record their growth every few weeks. I saw the first of the returning Eastern Curlews this week. I will post about them soon. They arrive about a month before other shorebirds.
