Exploring the Tweed Coast

The weekend before last, my hubby & I took a day trip over the QLD border to explore the Tweed Coast, down to Byron Bay. First stop was Lions Park, above Cabarita Beach.

Looking north towards Kingscliff...

Looking south to Norries Headland...

We climbed down on to the rocks below...

We didn't have time to do the walk out on to Norries Headland.

Next stop was Brunswick Heads.

The reflections on Brunswick River were beautiful!

It was a perfect day on the beach...

A Silver Gull was enjoying the foam & checking his reflection on the shore...

Strutting his stuff...

The headland in the distance is Cape Byron...

And we finally arrived at Cape Byron Lighthouse in time for sunset...

All images shot with my new birthday present - Canon 7D. I'm loving the high speed continuous shooting, 8fps and higher quality sensor!

Beautiful photos, Liz! I like the way you create the story in your posts. My favourite would possibly be the one with the grass close up at sunset, but they are all lovely <3
