We only have one trees & a few shrubs in our tiny Townhouse courtyard, but the largest tree is a 3-4m high Grevillea. It is regularly visited by various Honeyeaters, one of which is the Brown Honeyeater.
It's a very tiny bird, with a loud and melodious song, and rarely sits still long enough to eat, let alone to be photographed. Over a few months I managed to capture these images:
Sorry for my absence on here over the last month, life has been rather hectic. I'm hoping to end the posting drought as of today. :)

a pretty bird, for sure!
een heerlijke serie van een prachtig vogeltje.
Oh how pretty and the way you took the surroundings of the branch is really beautiful.
These photographs are breathtakingly beautiful, Liz.
Awesome photos!
it's amazing isn't it - that if you want it you can find it; one flowering nectar-bearing plant and some bird will call it theirs. Great photo opportunity Liz
Lovely shots of your Honeyeater and the flowers are pretty too. Enjoy your week ahead!
Beautiful shots, Liz! Honeyeaters are so cool!
Nice captures the Honeyeater is lovely.

Lovely shots of the Honeyeater and flowers!
Fantastic Photos of the beautiful happy brown honeyeater. It is amazing how only one tree can be an important food source for birds and animals and it shows how important it is - great capture.
Glad that you're 'back', but am sorry that things have been so hectic. Your captures of nature are always envied (in a polite, non competition like manner) from this end. I'm always impressed how you capture birds in various modes. Like in this post, especially with the fluttering of the birds wings in your sixth photo.
Thanks, Renee
Both the bird and the flower are very pretty.
Wow a lovely collection of photos even if they took a long time to gather. I love grevillias and the honey eater is gorgeous.
I you plant it, they will come!
Next time you are in Victoria I can point you in the direction of the gannets!
