The small town of Beachmere, is located in the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland, Australia. It is located north of Brisbane and has a population of 3,888.
After spending the afternoon bird watching in the area, we decided to stay for sunset. We had been warned not to stay on the sand flats for too long as the incoming tide rises incredibly fast... they weren't wrong!!
The water rose to knee height in a matter of 10-15 minutes!
Never-the-less, the sunset was worth getting our feet wet for!

I love the ripples in the sand in the first to shots and the colouring of the last 2 shtots. Have a lovely weekend.
Love those first pictures--the ripples in the sand and very cool how quickly the tide came in.
lovely photos...the rippled sand is beautiful
Truly beautiful!
I think I'd have got my feet wet too.
It's so unusual to see the trees growing in salt water and it makes for really great photos!!
Glad you listened and took precautions. Seeing the tide low and then rise was an interesting series of photographs. There images were well done besides. Bravo!

The sands, the water, the tree and the sky - what a symphony of shapes and colours! God is the conductor of this symphony, and you've got it all in the pictures!

Wow - stunning shots.
Beautiful! It is interesting to see the trees in the salt water! We are planning to come to Australia in the next year while our son is working at University of Queensland-he studies the effect of waves on the shoreline!
Beautiful series! :) Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
Wow, wonderful seashores.
Beautiful place and beautiful photos!
So beautiful. That was a good day, and so many interesting things to see. I remember stopping to watch the osprey in a tree, and the little crabs all over the sand <3
