Tweed Beauty

Earlier this year, Michael & I drove down to the Tweed Valley region of the far Northern NSW to visit friends. We enjoyed a lovely lunch, and were then treated to a "local's" guided tour of the area throughout the Tweed Range, which is part of the Great Dividing Range.

We explored the World Heritage wilderness of the Tweed Region, including quiet streams, the well known Tweed River, and charming little villages.

The Tweed River weaves its way from the coast, through the Northern Rivers region...

I could have sat here all day... The vista was breathtaking and incredibly serene.

As the sun began to set, it was difficult to decide where to stay...

The highest peak in the distance is the distinctive Mount Warning.

As the sun set, the sky was stunning against the lush green grass...

Next time, I plan to shoot sunset over the Tweed River. The entire area is absolutely gorgeous and definitely worth a few more day trips!

How often do you head out and surround yourself with nature??

It is a stunning area. We did a drive around the Northern Rivers and stayed in a b&b cabin near Clunes. It was beautiful. Love your serene shots.

I'm fortunate enough to live in the middle of nature and marvel at it constantly. It's also wonderful to see everyone else's view of nature.

Beautiful surroundings. Going back to photograph the sunset sounds like a fab idea and I'm sure that will take a few visits! I do like to get out away from it all with my dog and camera. It's a brilliant way of recharging the batteries.

My father always called it 'God's own Country'. You've captured it beautifully. Every time I visit, I wonder why I haven't returned sooner.

That was a great day out, and it was good to meet up with Dale and Diane. We must be due for another drive down there - perhaps to visit some of the lookouts around Mount Warning.
