Serenity at the Lake

North Pine Dam, also known as Lake Samsonvale, is located north-west of Brisbane and is one of the 12 key water supply storages for South East Queensland.
The dam also provides a serene spot to enjoy a picnic, commune with nature and watch the sun set at the end of the day.

There are 1440 minutes in every day... 1440 opportunities to capture a moment of beauty.
What moment of beauty have you captured recently?

So beautiful! The pelican looks enormous in contrast to the other waterfowl but right at home on this lovely lake. The sunset photos are stunning!

Couldn't find a 'cuckoo' post but I also couldn't pass this one by. I rated this location as my number one wildlife spot last year, thanks mostly to the amazing bird life there. Peregrine Falcons, Speckled Warblers and Great Crested Grebes are some of my sightings there. The latter species is in your first photo and I think it's the number one place is South-east QLD to see this bird. Lovely photos, all around! :)
