The Grey Fantail is found in most treed habitats throughout Australia.
It is most easily recognised by its constantly fanned tail and agile aerial twists and turns.
Both sexes are similar in appearance: grey above, with white eyebrow, throat and tail edges.
This species is quite inquisitive and will closely approach an observer.

Beautiful little bird! Great photos.
They may be inquisitive, but they are also extremely restless, so you did incredibly well to get such beautiful, sharp, still shots! :)
3 perfect shots. Lucky, patient you.
Great photos Liz! What a little cutie it is.
Wow, those are fantastic! Gorgeous!
Cracking shots - and I love that green background.

Hello, I just wanted to stop back and say thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week!
Love your Fantail Liz, they are such interesting little birds.
Our New Zealand Fantail (Piwakawaka in Maori) is one of my favourite birds.
I used to see them often in my garden, but there are too many cats in the neighbourhood now so they've gone to safer parts.
A vulnerable bird because of their inquisitive nature like you said.
