Macro Monday: Grass

My grasses from the farm trip attracted so many comments last week, so I thought I would post some more...

I adore everything about that second photo...the entire composition is brilliant. Love the texture of the barbed wire amidst the beautiful grasses.

Hi there - grass is a much overlooked plant. It can be wonderful with its dull shades and simple colours.

A good way to take low down shots of buildings is to use the self-timer. Put the camera on its back, lens pointing up - press the shutter and walk away. It’s a great way to take pictures inside as well. I got some good shots many, many years ago of the roof of York Minster in the UK like this.

I love the second picture!!
Last month I photographed the same grass in the Dominican Republic.
At home I identified the grass as Bermuda Grass
or Bahama Grass, Devil's Grass, Couch Grass, Wire Grass, Indian Doab
Genus: Cynodon
Species: dactylon
