Sunrise skies
I was going to do my usual thing and post a sunset in stages, but then I remembered I hadn't posted my first ever sunrise which I shot the morning after the "Super moon"... after staying up all night! (I stayed up because I missed shooting the moon due to one of our adult children visiting for dinner and staying until late)
Perigee or Super Moon shot at 4:29am
After being up all night, my husband suggested we drive to Wellington Point, on the bay, and shoot a sunrise, we arrived as the moon was setting over the water
We turned around and walked 100m to the other side of the point... I had no idea what I was doing regarding settings but there were plenty of photographers there and I asked one what settings he was using.
I was hoping for more clouds and more colours but it was great to watch & capture the sun rising. I know one thing for sure, I won't be doing an all-nighter like that again! It took me too long to recover.

It did take you too long to recover, but what great shots!!! You really do have a great eye for a good photo :)
what a wonderful serie! fantastic! :)
Wow! Beautiful moonset and sunrise in one photo shoot! I would say it was worth staying up all night. But I know what you mean about recovering.
Good moon shot and the second sunset picture is fantastic.
Greetings,
Filip
So gorgeous! Makes me want to get up early and head to the beach to capture a sunrise. Have a great weekend.
they are stunning. You have some endurance staying up that long.

I hankered too to do the Super Moon but was away at the time. Aren't sunrises super to witness? You got some lovely photographs; what a lovely thing to do, get out there with your hubby and enjoy it together.
Very cool moon, moon-set & sunrise... I think the colors are quite beautiful! =)
Glorious sunrise! So what settings DID you use??? Always helpful to have someone to ask....
Wow, those are gorgeous, Liz! Fantastic color! Your moon photo is beautiful!
really beautiful! love the moon, too!
I'm fortunate enough to be able to get sunrises from my house over the Scottish Highlands on the other side of The Minch and clear skies mean lots of potential for moonshots too. I take quite a lot. I don't think I've ever managed one as clear and defined as this one though.
my favourite is the first sunrise shot. Gorgeous!
These are stunning captures. Love all of them
