World Bird Wednesday:Black Swan family

Up at Lake Eden, there is a family of Black Swans. There were 6 eggs laid, 5 cygnets hatched on 8th March and on 11th March one of the cygnets was no more.

On 19th April, we took a drive up to the lake to see how the cygnets were going.

It's feed time...

Duck dive...

I love the second last - eye to eye. And it's lovely seeing the stately adults together with their young, protecting and watching. Looking forward to seeing them again.

This looks like Auckland. I went to your other blog where you said that you were waiting for blogger to verify you. What does this means?
