"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
~ Elliot Erwitt
Apparently we had a belfry on our church fifty years ago but it fell off! I do wish it had been restored. In the city next to us the bell ringing was replaced by a recorded bell sound which in no way stirs up the old memories of bell echoes throughout the day... I loved the "Day is done / gone the sun/ from the lakes/ from the hills/ from the sky/ All is well/ safely rest/ God is nigh
Each week coming out of Girl Guides this is the song that would fill my heart and take away any fear.
